5/5
Our wives under the sea was fucking amazing. All I knew about this book before reading it was something about submarines. Its so so so much more. This book follows the perspectives of a wife and wife. One telling the story of her terrible submarine work trip and the other explaining the unusual changes she sees in her wife once she returned home. I read this book in one sitting. The writing was phenomenal, like fucking stunning. It was so eerie, I would get goose bumps. The different emotions you feel as you read this story is nothing I’ve seen in a novel. You really fall in love with this couple and their story, however you’re simultaneously reading this really disturbing story of being stuck in a submarine. I love a book with a good niche, in this case submarines. It’s because you really can’t find another book like it. However I would recommend reading this on a plane like I did bc it was starting to feel kinda real. THIS WAS AN EASY 5 STARS. Someone else please read this book so I can talk about it with someone.
